Job Qualification Requirements:
Minimum two (2) years' experience as Safety Supervisor. Must possess an Associate's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field (may be foreign equivalent), or an Associates’ degree in Engineering (may be foreign equivalent); possesses OSHA 30-Hour and EM 385-1-1 40-Hour training.
Successful applicant must be able to obtain military base access. Off-island hires must complete a health screening prior to working in Guam. Employees are required to take and pass a substance abuse test after hire.

Work to be performed on DPRI-funded projects and projects covered by Davis Bacon, Service Contracts Act, and/or Executive Order 14206 will be paid no less than the indicated wage rate but may be paid more where special rates apply and may require paid holidays and/or paid sick leave; Round-trip airfare for off-island hire; Food and lodging provided @ $80.00 per week; local transportation from employer’s designated lodging facility to/from jobsite; and employer/employee-paid medical insurance provided.

Supervises daily safety operations at construction job sites. Supervises, coordinates, and schedules the activities of the occupational health & safety technicians at the project sites. Conducts regular safety inspections of work areas, equipment, tools, and materials to identify hazardous conditions. Enforces compliance with site-specific safety plans, company policies, OSHA standards, and U.S. Corps of Engineers (USACE) safety regulations. Monitors employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices. Leads or participates in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings. Provides on-the-job safety guidance and instruction to workers and crew leaders. Investigates workplace incidents, near misses, and injuries, and prepares incident and corrective action reports. Coordinates corrective actions with supervisors to address safety deficiencies. Ensures safety signage, barricades, and warning systems are properly installed and maintained. Maintains safety logs, inspection records, training documentation, and required postings. Assists with emergency response procedures, drills, and first-aid coordination. Communicates safety concerns and recommendations to project managers and company management.
